WORSHIP DIRECTOR & PRAYER ROOM MANAGER

Type: Full-time

Life Center Church NYC is seeking a Worship Director & Prayer Room Manager to cultivate a culture of prayer, presence, and praise at the heart of our church. This role carries the responsibility of leading our congregation into authentic worship, developing leaders and musicians, and building a spirit led prayer room expression that fuels our mission to lift up continuous worship and intercession for New York City, the region and the nations.

We’re looking for a leader who is both musically gifted and pastorally minded—someone who can disciple worshippers, organize systems, and walk in their New Testament priesthood of leading God’s people into His presence.

key RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and oversee worship for weekly services (Sundays, Friday nights, prayer sets, and special gatherings).

  • Build, recruit, and train a team of worship leaders, musicians, and volunteers.

  • Cultivate a thriving prayer room culture with regular worship and intercession sets.

  • Organize and facilitate team rehearsals, trainings, and department gatherings.

  • Partner with pastors and staff to plan and run services, events, and conferences.

  • Provide soul care, mentorship, and discipleship for worship team members.

  • Support the church’s mission through involvement in events, retreats, and mission trips as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A committed follower of Jesus, aligned with Life Center’s values and vision. Subscribes to and is in agreement with Life Center’s Statement of Faith.

  • Skilled worship leader and musician with experience in diverse worship environments.

  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities (scheduling, communication, systems).

  • Pastoral heart to mentor and disciple worshippers in their faith and gifting.

  • Team-builder who thrives in collaboration across ministries.

  • Prior experience in worship leadership (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
